Printed media

Photographs, along with any other printed media, are still printed using the halftone process today. It's such a universal technique, there are those who have adapted a style of actually making an image look like a "halftone" by making all the dots more apparent, rather than letting the evidence of the technique fall into the background as it was made to do.

This just goes to show how much the technique has become an incredibly effective way of printing. Even the standard laser printers we all use on a daily basis use this process in order to reproduce images on paper.
