Skype is a software application that works like a telephone, in allowing people to make voice calls through the internet. It is now being used in many places that can have easier access to internet connections as opposed to telephone connections because they are cheaper.

The telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell. It works by converting a voice to electical pulses, transmits these pulses through a wire, and converts them back to voice at the other end of the line.
