Prince Albert
Francis Albert was the Prince consort (husband) of England’s monarch, Queen Victoria. He is partly credited with conceiving of the concept behind The Great Exhibition of 1851 in London, and partially credited with manageing it. Henry Cole also can be credited with designing the concept for the Exhibition and managing it; he convinced Prince Albert to help support the event. Prince Albert became the president of the Royal Society of Arts and helped to promote the Great Exhibition through his connections to the government.
